Share in the Light
A cloak of gray clouds hovered over them,
Their mind reverted to moments of dread.
Their eyes searched around for new light,
Only to be met with the dreary gray in their sight.
They closed their eyes to hide away,
They met a black darkness that held no hope.
Spirit rumbled within refusing to be contained;
To not remain hidden, they opened their eyes to share in the light that sustained.
Sometimes what they saw was dark and gray, reminding them of moments that they dread. They tried to look for new light and were disappointed when met with the same gray in their sight. They thought they could just hide to ignore the gray but they met a black darkness in doing so. The spirit to live didn't want to be contained and didn’t succumb to hiding, they opened their eyes to share their light and lift the dreary gray into the brighter sustainable light that gave Life.
