Becoming with the Life You’re Given

They wondered why they didn’t seem to fear the same things that the people around them feared. They weren’t afraid to share who they are, to screw up when trying something new or to get judged when doing something differently. Why do I seem backwards compared to everyone else? How come people work on their spiritual self after they’ve made physical accomplishments and I’m working on physical after accomplishing my spiritual self? 

Though this had plagued them for most of their life, they realized now that their life had trained them differently. They grew up with adverse circumstances that gave them no choice but to look within, to persevere through fear, share their situation for safety and give them motivation to dare to try to enjoy life for what it is. As much as they wanted to fit in with others, their life trained them based on their circumstances. 

In life, we tend to think with what we know (what we’ve learned externally) and the comparisons our minds create can elude us from our reality. What we pick up amidst the mass of many others isn’t necessarily what is going on for them or us. It’s up to us to recognize our own reality. Every being is unique with their own set of abilities and experiences. When our lives aren’t coinciding with what’s around us, it is a signal of our Individuality and is deserving of our respect. Self-care requires us to recognize who we are (inside and out), understand where we are and nurture the person we continue to become.
