There is a Reason
It’s often said that everything happens for a reason but when they couldn’t pinpoint the reason, they got distracted in trying to keep control of the outcome. They shouldn’t enter situations that they didn’t know, right? They were taught that they’d be safer if they knew the facts and reasons.
Despite trying to follow while holding knowledge, Life threw the unexpected at them anyway and they started doubting that there was a purpose behind what occurred. As they drifted away from having to know or demonstrate control, they opened to the experience and let whatever resonated be realized. As the not knowing allowed them to flow, they picked up on more of the subtle purposes of each event.
In life, we are taught to demonstrate knowledge and assume control to prove ourselves. Finding reason to every occurrence stirs our curiosity to learn but when we work to narrow the purpose to what we already know or think, it limits the discovery and prevents the natural flow. Sometimes the reason we’re meant to see requires the journey and our willingness to see from alternate perspectives. What happens to us may not strictly be about us, but we do have a role in the happening.
