Keep It Alive

Give thanks to the unsuspecting,

Spread your joy among the unknowing.

Plant seeds in the barest terrain,

Shower love upon the driest valley.

Share laughter in the quietest domain,

Spread smiles amidst a dreary atmosphere.

Enjoy abundance for the present it is,

Give back anonymously to keep it alive.

I've been pondering about how gestures of appreciation aren't easily accepted and are often not shared in this world. I feel drawn to thanking people who have influenced my journey when I feel successful. It isn't easy sharing openly with people who don't know what you go through, yet it keeps the positive energy flowing. They don't have to know to enjoy, and we don't have to be understood to spread good cheer.
