Not All Those Who Wander are Lost

Inspired by "Not all those who wander are lost." -J.R.R. Tolkien

They wandered away from the crowd,

They insisted on doing the impossible.

They ran into injury when they should have known to go the other way,

They stay away from set ambitions.

~Not all those who wander are lost. ~

They find strength in solitude,

They are motivated by the unknown.

They enjoy getting to know their boundaries,

They are open to discovering more without knowing.

This poem reflects what I love to be and the perceptions I fear when I go my way. I write this as a reminder to myself of how I love to live and as a way to broaden my perspective should it become narrow with judgment.
