Without the Journey, One Can't Judge

Amidst the shadows of hovering trees,

Where’s the light to help see?

An array of paths that aren’t concrete

Which direction should one beseech?

Atop routes of dirt and rocks one must trudge

To get darkness to budge.

What will one realize at the end?

Without the journey, one can’t judge.

This poem is a small review on what helped me to not take reactions personally as I journey to find myself. Accepting that one can’t judge without the journey helped me to be more open to the experiences of other people and the truth for my person.
