Lazing, yet feeling the urge to move forth
Imprisoned by comfort, yet desiring liberation
Motivations slowly rise
Bubbling with enthusiasm that struggles for release from the
Oblivion where it tends to be forgotten
Limbo, the stage in every cycle when comfort tempts us to forget our true potential, yet quietly reminding us to explore. Motivation slowly rises and new ideas bubble enthusiastically to encourage us further. It’s hard to resist the intuition because it promises freedom from the oblivion where we risk being forgotten.
Submitted to dVerse where we were prompted to use the word ‘limbo’.
My apologies for replying so late – life and work intruded.
You’ve balanced the competing pulls quite well.
Thanks for adding to the Limbo prompt

Reading your poem, I see that there is a connection between limbo and inertia and hopelessness as well, almost as if you don’t see yourself breaking free from it.

I wouldn’t say hopelessness, I was thinking of the stage of indecision before the next adventure.

More than a touch of the lotus eaters here – “Imprisoned by comfort,” – clever take on limbo
