Snowflakes flutter down to land on the earth,
A snow blanket covers the grounds outdoors
As I hibernate in the warmth of home,
A white blanket also covers my floors.
With every step and vigorous shake,
Layers of fur softly land on the ground.
It’s the season for my dog’s fur to shed,
When fur gathers in corners until found.
Inside, outside, there’s a blanket of white,
Either blanket can stick to my warm clothes.
I cannot turn either blanket away,
They’re reminder of gifts as the wind blows.
