An emptiness sets upon me as I turn from what was. Fear consumes me as I try a new suit. A wonder sets upon me as I compare then and now. A realization settles as I embrace change. I know not where I go, I'm scared to admit that I don't know. I search my heart to steady me. I accept darkness to become light.
There is a peace underlying how this poem unfolds.

I’ve come to learn that emptiness and fear manifest when I hold on to what I think should be. Admitting not-knowing opens me to be enlightened.

I agree and I have found this lesson comes back to me fresh at different times 🙂
