What is Christmas?
It is tenderness for the past,
It is courage for the present,
It is hope for the future.

It is tenderness for the past,
Gratitude to let all grow forth
And to let memories be a foundation of joy.

It is courage for the present,
An appreciation for what is before us 
And readiness to face what comes.

It is hope for the future,
Trust to let love support us forward
And openness to enjoy unity.
