Release with Hope

Scared to fall
No grace in movement
Sensations trigger memories
Battle within
Release with hope

I wrote this piece thinking that I'd like to be able to move once more without the tension in movement triggering my fear of falls. I feel that it is this fear that takes the grace out of my movement and it's what I miss the most. I've experienced fear as a constant battle within and I've always let it go by trusting the hope in my soul.

  1. Yes, fear can freeze us into a statue of our former selves. Just being able to stand was a victory and eventually walking with a cane, a huge accomplishment. I had to forsake gracefulness for the gift of moving forward, literally. Even being cautious, I canโ€™t tell you how many times Iโ€™ve fallen. โ€œSlow and steady wins the race.โ€ ๐Ÿ™‚
