Comfort in Cold

Cold breezes sweep across my body in big folds,
Igniting my body's furnace from deep within.
My skin tingles with chills as my muscles heat up,
Experience to feel my body makes me bold.
Goal to reach comfort in cold keeps my soul charged up,
My memories will become real if I'm willing,
I'll be comfortable once again in the cold!

I wrote this poem after a day out in the first snowfall this year. My body was a different experience and I know that I want to enjoy Winter outdoors as I used to when I was younger. I’m excited with this new goal!

  1. Our bodies often remember before we do! And appreciating those parts which feel partly or in whole can lead us back to those places again which still reside deep in our soul. Enjoy the snow and cold! 🙂
