The Phoenix is Grateful for All

Let the fire burn,
Let the senses smolder into consciousness.
The phoenix shall rise above the flames,
To search for where she belongs.

Let the path unwind with process,
Let discovery become reality.
The phoenix shall fly through every experience,
To understand who she is and where she wants to be.

Let experience be life's currency,
Let all come together as treasure.
The phoenix is grateful for all
To appreciate that she is no more or less than what surrounds her.

I'm sitting feeling grateful to recognize heat coursing through my left side. What started in my leg has traveled farther up. It feels like my arm, hand and face are burning. I feel like the phoenix my husband loves comparing me to. 😃
