Regret

They say that the old will ponder their life and meet the regrets they've gathered over their life, but I start to wonder where the root of that regret lies.
The world has become a playground to strive for approval and worthiness, all done on terms written by others, and it makes it too easy to ignore our greatness. It's hard work to accept our greatness knowing that we must stand strong against the judgment of others. In my experience, regrets are rooted in the thinking that appreciation from others takes precedence over my own. When my greatness was hard to admit, it was easier to form regrets for others than brave self-acceptance.
It's hard work understanding your person in the midst of the stories that storm around you but ignoring your soul will mark your soul.
Brave the journey, accept your greatness and be everything you're meant to be. Self-acceptance is nothing to regret, it is the greatest gift for oneself.

Accept your greatness,
Don't strive for their approval.
Accept, don't regret.
