Parenting is Long-Term

No matter the stresses of today, parenting is long-term
Despite the success seen today, parenting is long-term

Respect what your instincts say in the now
Though each situation is distinct, parenting is long-term

Accept the turbulent journey
For it reaps excellent rewards, parenting is long-term

Celebrate whenever they achieve
It gives reason to believe and, parenting is long-term

Be open to their requests
It assists on their conquests and, parenting is long-term

Allow them to decide on their own
Through experience, they'll be shown and, parenting is long-term

There is no set perfection
You can expect temporary deflections because parenting is long-term

Reactions aren't always sweet
You may have to admit defeat, but parenting is long-term

Sometimes, you must walk away
And admit that it's just another day but parenting is long-term

Don't allow your dreams for them to consume
For it's their responsibility to bloom and parenting is long-term

There are times when you must let them fly free
Open the cage to accept reality because parenting is long-term

Take time for your own needs
Without you, they will proceed because parenting is long-term

Memories made warms everyone's heart
Always with our souls, never to depart because parenting is long-term

Always a way to contribute
To strengthen attributes because parenting is long-term

As a parent, she tends to forget
But Astrid encourages no regrets because parenting is long-term
