Tree of Life

My attempt to stitch the Tree of Life
Upon its head, the wind ruffles the green strands of hair.
Behind the leaves, thin arms reach out while connecting to the body
A tall body stands straight supporting the veins of life
Beneath the body's core, its feet are planted
Grounding this entity to the source of life

~The Tree of Life~

Strands of colored hairs ruffles in the wind upon our heads,
While within, neural branches are connecting to the body.
Our body stands tall as a vessel of Life
Our feet are flat on the earth, grounding our being to the source of Life

Recent talks regarding the importance of reconnecting with nature drew me to relate humans to a tree. Staring at a tree outside my window, I imagined it's many leaves as a head of hair and the branches reminded me of the nerves that connect the brain to the body.
Every being of Life wants to stand tall and it is the roots implanted in the ground that gives it strength to endure and survive.
As the tree is an entity to the source of Life, so, too, are humans if we choose to honor our roots and values to connect ourselves to the Source of Life.
