October 2021 Poem Reflection

Thirty years ago, I was thrown to the ground.
In a state of unconsciousness, life threw me a curve ball.

Twelve years ago, I thought I knew how it all should be.
In a state of guilt and worry, life offered me a gift I thought I wasn't allowed.

Seven years ago, I walked across a busy street without knowing.
In concentration, aiming to be a good mother, life presented a choice for me to make.

Today, I reflect on the full bounty my life provided.
In knowing that it never meets social ideals, life gives all that I require to be uniquely me.

Celebrating my life and reflecting on significant moments that made and shaped who I am. The journey has been long and wild and continues on to offer more. It's a blessing to be able to look back and recognize its full value. Thank you. Life!
