August, Month of Balance

For the month of August, I chose balance as the theme of the month. Balance, the state of equilibrium, where equality is met to accomplish peace.

To me, accomplishing balance is about finding the unity between extremes in a situation so I can view it with clarity. This challenge arises in many instances, whether in times of solitude, times with family or friends or just observing from afar, many extremes can sway our emotions and blur the sight of the whole picture. Balance isn’t obtained in an instant, it takes effort and patience to comb through the various threads that constitutes the fabric. I find that whenever I recognize my feelings being swayed, I know it’s time to step back, ask myself deep question and restrain myself from tipping the scale. It’s hard to not react, but I’ve found that by not reacting, I uncover unexpected treasures. I find that striving for balance is to work towards truth and offers harmony to my environment.

Try to always remember that you are human and that it’s necessary to experience the extremes life offers. What we decide to do with our experience determines our direction, the outcome of our world and the peace within our person. Try to remain open in all experiences, allow yourself to feel the experience while exploring the other side and embrace the unity to grow with the loving truth. Be one with Life and let it guide you to flourish on your journey.
