A Whole New World reworded. I wrote this poem last year at the early stages of the pandemic and, as I look back at the wondrous changes and revelations of 2020, I believe the world has a ton of treasures to discover and create with love together.

You can see the whole world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, my friends, when did you last let your hearts decide?
You can open your eyes
Take life wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a happy, blissful ride

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
We must stick to "No"
Nowhere to go
And continue dreaming
A whole new world
A peaceful place I never knew
But when I'm alone in here
It's crystal clear
That now we're in a whole new world for all
( Now we're in a whole new world for all)

Unbelievable love
Indescribable feelings
Halting, rolling, cautioning
On an abundant coaster ride

A whole new world (don't you dare close your hearts)
A hundred thousand things to feel (take a breath, it gets better)
You're like a shooting star
You can't go back to where you used to be
A whole new world (every day a surprise)
With new horizons to pursue
We'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let us share this whole new world with all

A whole new world (a whole new world)
A new fantastic point of view
We must stick to "No"
Nowhere to go
And continue dreaming
A whole new world (every day a surprise)
With new horizons to pursue
We'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
And when we're home (there's love to share)
Let me share our whole new world with you

A whole new world (a whole new world)
That's where we are (that's where we are)
An endless chase (a wondrous place)
For all to see
