We are All Different

Inspired by “We are all different. Don’t judge, understand instead.” - Roy T. Bennett

No matter what species or race, we are all different
No matter our circumstance or likes and dislikes, we are all different

In the neighborhood in which you reside
All matters are meant to coincide, we are all different.

We all started out as small,
Some grew wide or became tall, we are all different.

We all search for connection,
And try our best to express affection, we are all different.

We all try to decipher right from wrong,
And can fail at being continuously strong, we are all different.

Sometimes, we must admit that we don't know,
While others let their understanding show, we are all different.

We all strive for ways to be recognized,
And learn that worth must be self-realized, we are all different.

Everyone gets caught up in Life's wonder,
It gives reason to stop and ponder, we are all different.

When we get caught in a dispute,
We get scared and find ways to refute, we are all different.

At times when we have a personal preference,
We must turn to ourselves for a reference, we are all different.

What I consider to be important,
Could, to you, be insignificant, we are all different.

Many people struggle with differences,
Fight fears that become interferences, we are all different.

We all experience moments of frailty and resilience,
And survive with diligence, we are all different.

In whatever cause you support,
There will be issues to report, we are all different.

Astrid believes everyone is unique and intelligent,
And hopes, with love, that everyone can respect that we are all different.
