Hello, Angel Song

This poem was written while listening to The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel and can roughly fit the tune.

Hello, Angel, my dear friend,

I’m spending time with you again

I can feel our energy heighten

People watching may get frightened

But the vision of our love will always bloom

And so I say,

We will bring light to all rooms.

 

In bright endeavors, we trudge along

Learning together to be strong

Finding hope with ev’ry new glance

We dare together and take a chance

When told we couldn’t do it we went ahead

Got out of bed

And heightened our energy

 

And in the challenges we saw

Multiple ways for us to grow

Accomplishing without doubting

Many ideas without shouting

Business ideas because we do care

Let us share

Heightened energy of love

 

“Fools.” they said. We didn’t know

Anger isn’t something we choose to show

Hear our words and we might reach you

Let us in and we will teach you

But our plans are like seeds that need to grow

And echoes with energy of love

 

And the people thought they heard

The full passion of teaching

Until our smiles started warming

Acceptance was slow forming

 

And our sign said Experience Learning

Are ready for all the students

And in school halls

Sings out the energy of love
