There’s nothing to fear should I disappear, 

For not everything is as it seems to appear. 

Be confident that, to defeat, I’d never adhere,

It is the process in which I don’t wish to interfere.

I have no control over where Life will steer,

I choose only to continue growing with cheer.

 

Having always been determined to live life to the fullest, yet not considering my actual limitations, I feel people questioning whether I’ve given up. The truth is my determined spirit has masked my reality and all can remain certain that I’d never give up. In choosing to accept myself, I’ve learned that I must let the recovery process take its course. I have no control over the direction or speed, no matter my aspirations. I choose to continue growing with each experience and I promise to do it with cheer.
