No Timeline for Recovery

There is no timeline for recovery,

It’s an adventure for discovery.

Try everything that makes you feel good,

And you will prove that you could.

Accept it, go slow and steady,

All will be well when you’re ready.

Pay attention when shown what could be,

And continue striving happily.

There is no timeline for recovery,

It’s an adventure for discovery.

Use what you have to start anew

Life is now different, you know it’s true.

Recovering from a stroke, I’ve realized there is no specific timeline, no matter what information I find. It’s an adventure for self-discovery and trying everything that makes me feel good builds spirit and ability.

The most important step was accepting that it’s okay to be as I am, it enabled me to listen to my body and set a slow and steady pace. I believe it’ll come together when I’m ready and I’ve come to enjoy every signal that shows what could be and continue happily.

There is no timeline and dropping expectations has been a great relief. I gladly utilize whatever resource I have and understand that life is now different. I look forward to finding more of myself 🙂
