Alexandra always needed a bottle of water for karate practice and felt lucky there was always a shared jug in the fridge. She was accustomed to having it ready to fill her needs.

One Saturday morning, Alexandra prepared for karate and went to the fridge to get the water. When she lifted the jug, it was empty, and she was running late. Oh no! I must fill it! Why did this happen? I’m going to be late!

Alexandra recalled her younger brother emptying it the previous night and now understood why her parents taught them to always fill it.

Though Alexandra was annoyed with her brother and scared to be late, she now knew what it felt like to find an empty jug in the fridge and didn’t want others to feel the same annoyance, so she made sure it was refilled after every use.
