Look at Me

Listening to the song, “Reflections” while sorting through my past, present and future, I was inspired to create new words to move forward. My past easily relates to the words sung and I know it isn’t my place to remain. The following words are the words I’d sing to love and accept myself.

Look at me,

I will always be a unique human

And a growing person.

Can it be that I am meant to play this part?

Now I see

That when I’m truly being myself, I’d be listening to my heart.

I am this girl I see

Smiling straight back at me

My reflection’s showing someone I want to know

Somehow, I cannot hide

Who I am,
