Upon a field where Spring obstacles grow
There is a variety of life to show
We may not understand all that it presents
But its beauty and purpose, we cannot resent
Within the life of a Dandelion weed
There is great quality to help life exceed
Never look around you with repulsion
Allow yourself to accept true beauty as a first impulsion
As we all deal with this pandemic, I couldn’t help but relate it to the weeds that tend to be hastily discarded in the Spring season. They appear as unwanted additions and hold gifts aren’t easily realized. At the start of the pandemic, I wanted to usher it away quickly, but as it plays out, I’ve rediscovered simple life gifts I’d forgotten. It’s always great to search for beauty, even when it doesn’t agree with you from the start. Life is a mystery.
