Dragon Stadium I

Dragon Stadium was the first plastic canvas project I completed after my stroke. Inspired by my daughter, who was trying out various dragon video games, I thought this would be a fun sign to hang on her door. This project was simple to design and gave me hope in the determination I hold. I insisted on stitching this myself and found the many resources around me to succeed.

I held this canvas to the kitchen table with a can held by my chin while I stitched off the right side of the table. I remember feeling ridiculous and determined to make this gift for my daughter. I believed anything was possible for love and the radiant smile I received when I gave it to her was worth the strenuous efforts placed into this project. It’s an experience I’ll never forget, a reminder that all is possible when I’m determined with love.

  1. “a reminder that all is possible when I’m determined with love.” A beautiful thought indeed! Love can melt mountains and make us go that extra mile for our special ones. Wonderful post really!
