Sustenance for the soul,
In many forms, always ready to collect.
Delectable treats to feed upon;
Building love, spirit and intellect.
It’s quickly devoured,
In times of eagerness and contentment.
It gets forgotten and neglected,
In moments of fear and resentment.
They taste sweet or bitter,
Yet packed with experiences to survive.
Whether accepted or rejected,
Its sustenance to stay alive.
Sustenance for the soul,
Discovered every day in many ways.
Open your mind to feed for your life,
The values you feed on, with you, stays.
At dVerse, Lisa encouraged us to write about food and I couldn’t help but be caught on spiritual sustenance.
Wise words, well said!

Astrid, I like the way you connected that search for sustenance with keeping one’s soul vibrant. You’re right, what you feed it is what it manifests.
“The values you feed on, with you, stays.”
