Winter Wonderland

Embark upon the mystic Winter Wonderland

As snowflakes flutter and tickle your face like sand

It isn’t as hot as a Summer day on the beach

Bundle up! Don’t forget to protect your feet and hands

Under your boots, hear the crunch of ice when you step out

Enjoy the cold breeze as you listen to the wind’s shout

Can you focus beyond the blizzard of white snowflakes?

Try to imagine sweet cocoa’s scent against your snout

Feel springs in your legs resist as you climb a snow bank

Take out your snow shovel and plow through like a large tank

Enjoy the mystic beauty of Winter Wonderland

When Spring arrives, you’ll be conflicted about your thanks

Such great use of imagery – the movement of the snow and the sounds and feel of the world of winter. You have used them all well – thank you for sharing this 🙂

Nice line “Can you focus beyond the blizzard of white snowflakes?” With the anticipation of the cocoa that will come. I also like being conflicted at the end when spring comes because one will miss winter.
