Finding a Resolution

Innovation offers great solutions, but without acceptance, it isn’t a resolution.

There are many solutions to a problem, even new methods that work only for you, but without acceptance, solutions become methods of elusion. For a path to be resolved, you must respect where you are to recognize how you want to proceed. Until this step is accomplished, all ideas add confusion to your focus.

Have you ever set a goal, forgot and frustrated yourself with the outcome later? These are the moments to accept that you’re human and deal with what you have. You might feel embarrassed, wish it didn’t happen or find a solution to make the mistake look smaller, but that doesn’t resolve the truth that you’re human, made a mistake and are intended to learn new things. What can you take from your mistake? Certainly not that you are the most awful person because now you have an idea how to prevent it next time.

Have you ever made a mistake and went to another person to feel better, only to be frustrated with their solutions? Did their ideas make you feel like you had to become them? If you haven’t come to terms with your thoughts, there isn’t room to accept the thoughts of others. It’s just time to take a step back and decide your situation for yourself. Your answers are within and they are ready when you’re ready. You can’t pretend to be someone else to hide who you are right now. Advice from others makes sense when you know where you are. Remember, their experience was for them and your experience is for you. Hearing from others gives ideas to consider, but the choice is yours.

Have you ever resolved a problem quickly, feeling satisfied in the moment, only to realize later that the problem is still there? If you rushed into a solution that made the problem look resolved, it’s possible you didn’t actually correct your problem. It may be happening again to encourage you to deal with it properly. Life wants to see you reach your full potential and will test you to ensure you’ve reached your light.

When you find yourself in a tangle of mistakes, don’t beat yourself up. Take a step back, look at the whole picture and accept who you are in the now. Life happens for a reason, find what it is for you, learn from your journey and enjoy who you’re becoming. With every failure, you’re growing to reach your potential and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
