Elements of Life

Flow through all circumstances like water

Calmly whisper your thoughts like air

Support your roots like the earth

Give goals a heated chase like fire

Balance your senses in the heat

Find a comfort, even in the cold

There’s no reason to avoid the cold

For even ice is another form of water

There’s purpose in turning on the heat

When there’s a chill in the air

It isn’t necessary to always light fire

Should you want your plants to remain rooted in the earth

Providing many life gifts, the earth

Offering resources to face the cold

Blanketed with twigs to kindle a fire

Offering pools to douse them with water

Growth affected by the air

It doesn’t require too much heat

There’s no reason for excess heat

For balance is required for fertile earth

Warnings are detected as we breathe the air

Sometimes we’re grateful when it’s cold

To assist our needs, we turn to water

For it can be enjoyed, even over a little fire

Renewal is found after a fire

Calmness dissipates the heat

It’s time to relax by sharing water

To encourage new growth from the earth

Even amidst Winter’s cold,

There’s still life within the air

Enjoy the purity of Nature’s air

Even when complimented by a campfire

For there’s no fear of the cold

When enjoying a beautiful heat

The wonders received from our earth

Includes the folding waves of our water

Let’s appreciate a breath of air, not always containing excessive heat

Give care to the Mother Earth, so she doesn’t suffer unwanted fires

Enjoy the cold while delighting in beautiful forms of water
