Still Be Like a Tree

You may not fall like a tree, but you can still be like a tree.

You may not be grounded in one place, but you can still be like a tree.

Growth is slow, taking many years,

But your roots show and you can still be like a tree.

Blossoms appear at various times of the year,

Yet, there’s nothing to fear, you can still be like a tree.

You’ve survived many life storms,

Many life lessons derived as you can still be like a tree.

Within a forest of assorted trees,

You bear a unique crest and can still be like a tree.

When you protect others from the rain,

You deserve respect as your role can still be like a tree.

Of a separate distinction you may be known,

But there’s a similar recognition and you can still be like a tree.
