No matter what armor we choose to wear
Our heart experiences emotional fares
Hard as steel or soft like leather
We put it on to face the weather
No matter what shield we place as a front
We’re not always prepared for a complex life brunt
Searching for a new protection
We battle with renewed introspection
We’ll always be exactly who we are
A unique character, our own personal star
There’s no costume from which to choose
No impression that must be infused
Fantastic words so well composed. Great poem.
