Patient Work of Art

Submitted to dVerse

To parent a young, developing child is a work of art that requires patience and balance. Though the desire is to have everything in order, awareness that it’s a learning process must be kept in mind.

Perfection would seem grand, but how would they learn without the mistakes? How would they be motivated without the joy in between? The task seems tiresome in the moment, but the rewards that develop with patience and love are an abundance of pleasure.

We are all humans learning how to live and, together, we succeed.

  1. A beautiful haibun Astrid and there is a lot of wisdom in here. I especially love ‘the rewards that develop with patience and love are an abundance of pleasure. We are all humans learning how to live and, together, we succeed.’ Thank you for joining in :o)
