Mother’s love is peace
As we venture each new day
She’s a well of love to return to
And revitalize when we’re wrought
A foundation of love
Memories of how good we are
Yet, how is the gift returned?
How do innocent children thank their mothers?
Every life is a source of love
Though not always realized
Children are anchors
That hold mother to life
To honor Mother’s Day, my poems uses words from two quotes about mothers.
“Mother’s love is peace. It needs not be acquired, it need not be deserved.” -Erich Fromm
“Children are the anchors that hold a mother to life.” -Sophocles
A wonderful Mother’s Day tribute…with excellent quotes!

Love it. Really brings together the love given and the love recieved by being a mother.

So lovely. I like how it all came together with that Sophocles quote. Thank you, Astrid!
