“Act with love within your expression; it will always leave a warm and lasting impression.” – Astrid Hardjana-Large
There are many ways for a person to react and the most accepted reaction that leaves a lasting impression is an expression filled with love. This is very true for all that we meet. I recall the memories of meeting a dog at a bus stop. One morning a neighbor decided to bring their puppy to meet the children of the community. For some children it had been their first encounter with a dog; they were excited and confused. The neighbor brought their pup to the front of the line so that smaller children would have the opportunity to meet him. Children yelled and screamed; one child defiantly yelled at the puppy, “Stay away! I don’t want to pet a dog!”
“Patrick! Be nice! What has this dog ever done to you? All you have to do is go up to him gently and touch his head.” A young girl stepped up to express her love for the puppy and demonstrated how a gentle pet allowed the puppy to go to her freely with trust. The excited screams calmed into happy smiles as more children started to attempt getting to know the new puppy.
